Former National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Said Sinare, has urged Ghanaians to reject the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming general elections.
He labelled the current government as the biggest mistake for Ghana.
In a gathering at his Labone residence, Alhaji Sinare received Muslim leaders and Faisal Kumilah, a prominent Hausa musician, where he urged Ghanaians to decisively reject the NPP in the upcoming December 7, 2024 elections.
The NDC’s Zongo President did not mince his words as he criticised the ruling party for what he termed as a “deplorable performance” that has led Ghana into a sorry state of disarray.
He encouraged frustrated NPP members to ditch the party, suggesting that the increasing defections from the ruling party across the country indicated the impending demise of the NPP.
Alhaji Sinare expressed his disappointment in Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as a complete letdown who fails to represent the hope and brighter aspirations that Ghanaians anticipated after assisting President Nana Addo to assume office in 2016.
According to Sinare, the NPP has collapsed the fundamentals of the country.
He emphasized, “It is important to stress once again that the 2024 general elections, more than anything else, is a referendum about the scorecard of the NPP, and Ghanaians should not reward their failure with even a day more on the saddle.”
