Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, says the quest by the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to upgrade the country is not only insulting but an insult to the intelligence of the citizens of Ghana.

He averred that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) cannot be allowed for an upgrade when the country is in an economic mess with unprecedented levels of corruption and mismanagement.

He has therefore made a strong case why Ghanaians ought to vote massively for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by its presidential candidate, former President John Dramani Mahama.

The lawmaker indicated that it is senseless to upgrade a broken system, which has worsened the plight of Ghanaians and pushed several others into poverty.

He went on to state that a vote for the proposed upgrade of Bawumia is an upgrade for corruption, hardship, state capture, crude haircuts, deprecation of the cedi, high inflation, galamsey, and incompetence.

To this end, he has appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for former President John Dramani Mahama because he will reset the broken system and restore the ailing economy.

He said this in a tweet on X, formerly Twitter.

His tweet read, ‘’You have a role to play in rescuing and resetting Ghana. Ghana needs a reset, not an upgrade. What is the sense of upgrading a broken system? Oh wait, they want you to vote for them to upgrade corruption, hardship, high cost of living, reckless borrowing, state capture, crude haircuts, bolting dollar to cedi rate, high inflation, galamsey, insolvent BOG, struggling Cocobod, Agyapadie, and on and on and on. Let’s rescue and reset Ghana for our collective good. Vote for JDM/NDC’’.
