The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is hoping to win the majority of votes in the Ho Central Constituency of the Volta Region to ensure victory for its presidential Candidate, John Mahama.

The opposition party hopes to mobilise the youth, leverage their numbers to sustain the Ho Central Parliamentary seat, and increase presidential votes.

The Ho Central NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Edem Kpotosu mentioned this at the commissioning of the NDC Youth Wing office in Ho.

He said the office would serve as an administrative unit for planning and execution of strategies towards mobilizing the majority of the youth to vote for the opposition party.

“The youth wing of the NDC is an integral part of the party, that is where a lot of things are done. When you look at the country’s population, the demographic shows that the youth form the majority, therefore, we have to always look at them when it comes to elections”, he said.

He expressed optimism that when the youth assimilate the messages of the NDC, the party is assured of a resounding victory, hence the need to mobilize resources to extend the message to them.

The NDC Ho Central Constituency Youth Organizer, Noah Dziekpor donated his pick-up vehicle for electioneering.

He said it was his little contribution to enable the party to get enough logistics to work with.

The NDC National Youth Organiser, George Opare Addo lauded the thoughtfulness of the executives adding the national headquarters would complement their efforts for the desired results.

He said the party does not have the financial muscle to undertake a money-driven campaign but would rely on a superior strategy to win the December 2024 general elections.

“We are in opposition, we will not be able to resource them like how the NPP is throwing money all about, but I have always emphasised that money doesn’t win elections. It is superior strategies and committed to deliver on it“, he said.
