The Nkoranza North Communications Bureau recently organised a successful communications workshop for the Constituency Communications Team and Branch Communications Officers over the weekend.
This workshop, sanctioned by the National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi ESQ, was meticulously organised by the Constituency Communications Officers under the guidance of the Bono East Regional Communications Bureau.
Participants engaged in 6 hours of tutorials covering various aspects including communications strategies, the political history of Nkoranza North Constituency, and the political commitment required to secure a resounding victory for flagbearer and former President John Dramani Mahama and Mr Joseph Mensah in the upcoming December 7, 2024, elections.
In his welcome address, Mr Osei Nyamekye Benign, the Constituency Communications Officer and Assembly Member, highlighted the successes of the Constituency Communications Bureau.
Notably, he mentioned the significant increase in the number of Media Monitors Team (Regular Callers).
From just 2 callers in 2022, Nkoranza North now boasts 8 Media Monitors who actively engage with various radio stations in the Nkoranza enclave and beyond.
The workshop featured sessions led by esteemed speakers such as Comrade Isaac Adaebsa, the Regional Secretary for NDC in the Bono East Region, who covered Political Communications. Mr Kwadwo Agyei Dwomor, Former District Chief Executive for Nkoranza North and immediate past Regional Communications Officer for Bono East, provided insights into the political history of Nkoranza North.
Comrade Sulemana Abubakar, Bono East Deputy Regional Communications Officer, offered valuable lessons on Political Strategies – Facts and Figures.
As a guest speaker, Dr Mohammed Awal, Deputy Director of Proforum in Charge of Labour Issues, emphasised the importance of commitment from all participants towards securing a resounding victory for the NDC in the upcoming elections.
He also advised against any actions that may lead to disunity within the party.
Addressing the participants, Comrade Suleman Mohammed-Mustapha, RCO for Bono East, encouraged everyone to give their best efforts to ensure victory for Mr John Dramani Mahama and to maintain the Parliamentary seat fo Joseph Mensah and the NDC.
Mr Joseph Mensah, in a gesture of appreciation, presented mobile phones to all members of the Media Monitors Team, including 2 members from the Nkoranza South Media Monitors Team.
He commended them for their dedication to the party and encouraged them to continue their efforts until victory is achieved.
Some of the phones were procured by the MP and others were contributed by individuals such as Comrade Ernest Arhin of Kintampo South and Comrade Samuel Gyan of the UK/Ireland Branch of the NDC, who hails from Nkoranza North.
Mr Frank Kwame Agyei, former parliamentary aspirant, was also recognised for his contributions to the success of the programme.
