The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reiterated its commitment to prosecute corrupt officials of the ruling New Patriotic Party to serve as a deterrent for future governments.
According to the General Secretary of the NDC, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the reckless misuse of public funds by officials in the NPP administration will not go unpunished.
Addressing reporters in Accra on Wednesday, Mr Kwetey further called on Ghanaians to join the NDC to ensure that the NPP is kicked out of office in the December 7 election.
“And a group of this nature, the best way to deal with them is to first and foremost get them out of power. The people of Ghana must rally together to make sure that these people are prosecuted so that an example is set once and for all for generations to come.
“That you simply cannot become leaders of a country and become such a group of insensitive, corrupt and uncaring people. So that is what it has to be. December 7 must be a day for the people of Ghana to speak,” Mr Kwetey said.
Meanwhile, the NDC has unveiled its national campaign team for the December 7 general election.
Fifi Kwetey is the Campaign Coordinator and will be assisted by Joseph Yammin, who will be in charge of regional campaigns.
The National Campaign Team will work under the guidance of a Campaign Steering Committee that includes the NDC’s national chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
