The campaign team of former president John Dramani Mahama has thanked Ghanaians for a successful campaign launch in Tamale on Saturday, July 27.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the team, Joyce Bawah Mogtari said they were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and enthusiasm for the vision of a better
Ghana.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the chiefs and people of Ghana, Tamale and the Northern Region, supporters, sympathisers and executives of the great National Democratic Congress (NDC), the media, security agencies, and all who contributed to the successful launch of the NDC 2024 campaign on the theme “Change to Reset Ghana”.
“We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and enthusiasm for our vision of a better Ghana. John Dramani Mahama’s message that the youth of Ghana cannot afford to waste another four (4) years resonates deeply with all.
“The youth are the future of our nation, and they deserve a leader who is experienced, ready and committed to Building the Ghana We All Want Together.
“Together, we can reset Ghana and create a brighter future for all. Thank you for your
unwavering support and belief in our mission. Let us work together to build a Ghana we can all be proud of,” the statement said.
During the launch of the campaign, the flagbearer John Mahama said among other things that the National Democratic Congress would protect the ballot in the 2024 general elections to ensure that the will of the people is reflected.
He urged all members of the NDC to be vigilant during the elections on December 7.
“We are prepared to protect the votes,” he said during the launch of the NDC’s campaign in Tamale on Saturday, July 27.
Mr Mahama further said that he would be truthful to Ghanaians at all times.
He says he will not tell the people what he cannot fulfill.
“I will be truthful to you, I will never tell you lies,” he said. Mr Mahama further said that change is calling Ghana in the 2024 general elections.
To him, the problems that have been created need new hands to solve them, not the very people who caused them.
“We solve problems with the same people who caused the crisis,” he said.
He added “it is not going to be easy, the more I look at the situation it is even worse than what the govt is telling us, it will take hard work and cooperation of the whole country”
He further assured Ghanaians that he would be truthful to them at all times.
