Mr John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has praised his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, as an outstanding individual who will play a crucial role in steering Ghana back towards progress and prosperity.
Mr. Mahama highlighted Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s cultured, courteous, scholarly, humble, and compassionate nature, noting her sensitivity to the needs of all people and her unwavering integrity.
He expressed these sentiments while introducing her to the Central Regional House of Chiefs in Cape Coast.
As the first female Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast and a former Education Minister, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang has demonstrated exceptional performance in the education sector.
Her achievements include infrastructure projects like E-blocks and eliminating schools under trees.
Mr. Mahama emphasized that his running mate brings valuable experience, integrity, and wisdom to the Vice-Presidential office, and he looks forward to working with her to reset Ghana.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, in turn, expressed gratitude to Mr. Mahama for his kind words and pledged to work diligently to secure victory for the NDC in the December 7 general elections, aiming to bring prosperity to all.
Odeefo Amoakwa Buadu VIII, President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs, commended Mr. Mahama for selecting a native of the region as his running mate.
