The Member of Parliament for Agotime-Ziope, Charles Agbeve, has eased the burden of nurses and patients who visit the Agotime-Ziope market health centre for treatment and risk their lives in harsh weather conditions by building a new CHPS compound for them.
The completion of the project was highlighted when the MP, promised to construct the CHPS compound within three months for the health workers and patients who visit the Agotime-Ziope market health centre during market days.
In an interview with Adom News during a passing-out ceremony for some apprentices in seamstress and hairdressing held in Agotime-Ziope in March this year, the MP shared how a a woman delivered in the open space due to lack of health facility in the area.
Also, Mr. Agbeve disclosed that, health workers weigh children under a mango tree during market days – a situation he described as worrying.
These and many others, he noted motivated him to fulfilment of his promise.
A community health worker at the Agotime-Ziope market health centre, Alfreda Enyonam Tsatsaku, applauded the MP for the kind gesture.
She said they were facing many challenges and expressed their profound gratitude to the MP.
Some residents and patients who frequently visit the health centre for treatment also praised Mr. Agbeve for his kind gesture.
They promised to vote for him on December 7th to ensure he continues to bring more development to the area.
