The National Democratic Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikwei North, Madam Theresa Lardi Awuni, has described the manifesto of the party launched on Saturday, August 24, 2024, as the manifesto hope.

The female MP will provide relief to Ghanaians, particularly traders and business owners, who have struggled over the years due to the unfavourable business environment and nuisance taxes introduced by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

She noted that in her constituency, the majority of constituents are traders who import goods to sell, but due to the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar, they are facing difficulties.

He stated that those who also took loans with the hope of expanding their businesses are unable to pay because their businesses have been hit hard by the economic crisis.

But she assured Ghanaians that ‘’former President John Dramani Mahama will be elected as President in the next three months. He will deliver better leadership that will help reset the economy, restore hope, and transform lives”.

She touted the proposed Women’s Bank as a laudable initiative that will help women access loans to expand their businesses.

The MP explained that the bank would address the challenges female entrepreneurs face in accessing loans from financial institutions. She further pledged to establish an office to offer assistance to women who would want to access loans from the bank if the NDC gets into office in 2025.

Madam Awuni was optimistic the constituents would vote massively for her because she has a solid track record of discharging her duties as elected MP.
