Kwadwo Addai Dapaah, the Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bantama Constituency, has accused the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Asenso Boakye, of neglecting the broader constituency in favour of a select few party delegates.
Mr. Dapaah, who recently filed his nomination forms at the Electoral Commission (EC) office, asserted that Mr. Boakye, who also serves as the Minister for Roads and Highways, has focused on catering to party delegates ahead of internal elections rather than addressing the development needs of the entire constituency.
“The constituents are fed up with the MP and his New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) lies and deceit,” Mr. Dapaah said. He accused the current MP of failing to deliver on promises of both physical and human development.
In his campaign message, Mr. Dapaah pledged that an NDC government would ensure equitable development and human capacity building without discrimination. He urged constituents to reject the NPP and vote overwhelmingly for the NDC to facilitate the implementation of the party’s flagship programmess outlined in its “People’s Manifesto.”
Meanwhile, in Oforikrom, the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate Sadat Ahmed Anwel, who also filed his nomination papers, expressed confidence in securing a victory and generating significant support for the NDC’s flagbearer.
