Mr   Kwame Governs Agbodza, Member of Parliament for Adaklu says posterity will not forgive Ghanaians if they fail to vote the New Patriotic Party (NPP) out of government.

He urged the electorates to vote massively for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr Agbodza said this when he addressed the chiefs and people of Adaklu Vodze in the Adaklu district as part of his campaign tour of the constituency.

“The total development of the country and alleviation of the people from the economic hardship inflicted on them by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo-led government is in the hands of the NDC,” he stated.

Mr Agbodza who is also the Minority Chief Whip in Parliament noted that unemployment has reached alarming proportions alleging, “the protocol system being introduced by the current government into the recruitment into the security services is making matters worse.”

He advised the NDC faithful to carry the rescue message of the party to all “households and hamlets” of the country.

The MP also called on party agents to be vigilant during the forthcoming general elections.

He entreated the Electoral Commission to be very transparent before, during, and after the elections to maintain peace in the country.

Mr Jerry Ameko, Adaklu Constituency Chairman of the NDC said the escalating cost of living “is biting all of us so we need to redeem ourselves.”

He stated that President Akufo Addo promised Ghanaians paradise but took them to hell and was optimistic that Ghanaians would not let the NDC down.

Togbe Winfred Amadotor, Dutor of the community said though Volta region was seen as the “world bank” of the NDC, it was not reflected in its development as compared to other regions and urged the leadership of the party not to turn its back on the region if they came back to power.

He urged them to educate the voting public on how to handle the ballot paper during the election to reduce rejected ballots.

Mr Agbodza donated 80 cutlasses, 80 wellington boots and 80 bottles of weedicides to farmers in the community.

He stated that the donation was part of a larger consignment worth over one million Ghana Cedis meant for distribution to over 8,000 farmers in the constituency.

He said the items were purchased with his own resources.
