The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called on the party’s supporters in the Volta Region to come out in their numbers and vote massively in the upcoming general elections.
He noted that voter turnout in the region has become a matter of concern for the party, stressing that complacency among supporters could harm the NDC’s chances of winning.
According to him, if voters in the Volta Region do not turn up in full force, it could weaken the party’s overall strategy, as votes from the region are critical in offsetting opposition votes from other areas.
Asiedu Nketia stressed the importance of every supporter exercising their right to vote, urging them not to be deterred by intimidation or any other challenges.
He also encouraged voters to support one another by motivating those who may be reluctant to participate in the elections.
He made these remarks during his four-day tour of the Volta Region.
