The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the postponement of Mr John Dramani Mahama’s campaign tour of the Oti Region.
Mr Gabriel Kwame Lemboe, the regional secretary of the NDC, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA), that the official schedule would be communicated to the people of the region in time.
Mr Lemboe said the disappointment may come as a surprise to supporters who were eagerly awaiting Mahama’s tour, which was initially set to cover all nine constituencies of the region.
The NDC was optimistic for this tour, aiming to canvas for votes and bolster support ahead of the 2024 elections.
While the reason for the postponement remains unclear, the NDC assures the region that a new schedule will be announced soon.
The NDC has apologized for any inconvenience caused and reassured them that a new date will be announced soon.
