The NDC’s National Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, has called on residents of Mfantseman in the Central Region to change their MPs in the upcoming 2024 elections.

He made these remarks during separate community engagements at Abandze and Kromantse, two fishing communities located in the Mfantseman constituency.

Mr Gyamfi took on the MP for the area, Ophelia Hayford, describing her as a non-performing MP who merely adds up to the numbers in Parliament without making any meaningful impact on the floor.

Extolling the superior qualities of the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the 2024 election, Dr Prince Kojo Arhin, an HR professional, Sammy Gyamfi described him as an accomplished, dynamic and sociable individual who will bring quality representation to the people of Mfantseman.

He said the Mfantseman constituency currently lacks meaningful representation as the incumbent member of Parliament, Ophelia Hayford has earned for herself the unenviable title of a “yea yea MP” in Parliament with no advocacy skills.

He said this was hampering development in the area. Therefore, he urged the area’s electorate to vote for the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Dr Prince Kojo Arhin, who is better placed to deliver quality representation in Parliament and advocate for the needed development of the area.

The NDC’s Communication Officer has been on a tour of the Central Region together with the Minority Leader in Parliament who also hails from the region.

Responding to an appeal from the chief of Kromantse to complete a stalled community centre project, the NDC delegation donated an amount of GH¢10,000 on behalf of NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama.

They assured the chief of the community that the next NDC government will ensure the timely completion of the community centre.
