Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu-Senya-West Constituency, Mrs Gizella, Tetteh Agbotui, has charged the people in her constituency to vote for her to ensure continuity of development projects in the Area.

She said voting for her to win the December election, would end the one-term mantra for MPs elected in the constituency.

To her, the development agenda in Awutu Senya West must be continued without any hindrance.

She has therefore, urged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stop giving the excuses that “my government is not in power,” but work hard to get people to vote for the Party to win the December polls.

Speaking at her campaign launch, she emphasised that consistently changing MPs every term had affected the growth of the constituency and urged voters to change their pattern of voting to aid development.

“We have consistently changed MPs eight times in this constituency, one term for each and that has affected our development. This time around let us avoid any excuses,” she said.

Mrs Agbotui expressed the believe that re-electing her would ensure progress and cautioned that voting for her opponent would hinder the constituency’s progress and undo the work started by her administration.

She appealed to the constituents to give her time to work in their interest.

She further eulogised the party’s flagbearer, Mr John Mahama as a true and honest leader.

“Mahama is not coming to engage in ‘try me and see’ but perform based on his track record. We have tasted water and alcohol and now know the difference.”

She said Mr Mahama was committed to advancing the development of women and that was evident in his choice of running mate.

Mrs Agbotui assured the people that Mr Mahama would continue with his infrastructural development including construction of the Bawjiase market, training college, hospitals, dormitory blocks in the senior high schools and roads.

Hundreds of NDC supporters who thronged the campaign with party colours amidst singing and dancing, chanted slogans and demonstrated their willingness to work hard to secure a landslide victory in the December polls.
