National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has assured market women at Rawlings market in Berekum of the party’s commitment to supporting their businesses.
During a visit to the Berekum market, the market women appealed for support to grow their enterprises.
According to them their market needs renovation and most of the trades are done by the road side under the mercy of the weather.
Responding to their requests Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman said the NDC understands the challenges market women face therefore she promised them of an improved market infrastructure, and training programs to enhance your businesses. “We’ll establish a dedicated fund for market women, offering affordable credit and expert advice. We’ll also upgrade market infrastructure to meet your needs.”
Naana Jane’s assurances were met with enthusiasm from the market women, who see the NDC as a party committed to empowering women entrepreneurs.
