The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with other security agencies, has engaged all political parties ahead of the December 7 election.

With barely 16 days to the general election, the security services met with representatives of the parties on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

The meeting was held to brief the political parties on preparedness and the commitment to ensuring peace and security during the elections.

Additionally, various measures being implemented to guarantee a peaceful electoral process were also outlined.

This follows a meeting on Wednesday between the police leadership, led by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, senior journalists, and news editors.

The IGP, at the meeting, assured the media of its commitment to their safety during the 2024 elections.
