Mr Abraham Koomson, Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), has voiced serious concerns regarding the controversial Agyapadie Book.

Mr Koomson warned that the book could serve as a blueprint for state capture by the current government, posing a significant threat to the nation.

Mr Koomson expressed his alarm over the ongoing corruption and impunity within the public sector, emphasizing that state capture in Ghana involves much more than just the sale of physical assets.

He highlighted the substantial financial losses the country has endured due to corrupt practices, such as fraudulent contract awards and excessive judgment debts.

These activities, he argued, have drained more resources from the public coffers than the sale of public assets.

The Secretary General urged the media to allocate time for a comprehensive discussion on the Agyapadie Book.

He stressed the importance of Ghanaians understanding the harmful intentions behind this document and the ruling government’s approach to state capture.

Mr Koomson expressed deep concern over the prevailing culture of impunity, warning that it could lead to instability in the country.

He emphasized the urgent need to address these issues to prevent unforeseen consequences that could arise from the implementation of the Agyapadie Book.

In his interview, Koomson called for immediate action to combat corruption and ensure accountability within the public sector, highlighting the critical importance of transparency and good governance for the future stability of Ghana.

Mr Koomson raised these concerns in a recent interview with Lashibi-based Ahotor FM.
