The National Democratic Congress is very optimistic that the New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will mismanage Ghana’s economy if elected in the December 7 polls to be president.

The party, in a presser dubbed ‘Moment of Truth’ by its National Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, describes Dr. Bawumia as a “corrupt” individual who cannot be trusted as a leader.

“Appearance fee merchant, Bawumia cannot fight corruption because he is himself corrupt,” he told journalists.

Sammy Gyamfi, however, urged Ghanaians to ensure the NPP does not stay in power.

“We can only get to the bottom of corruption and scandals by this government and its officials, including Bawumia himself, for the people of Ghana to resoundingly boot the NPP out of office on December 7, 2024,” he urged.

The NDC believes their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, can be well trusted to manage Ghana’s economy as well as fight corruption, which has been rampant in the Akufo-Addo-led government.

“Our surest bet of exacting genuine accountability would be to vote overwhelmingly for Mr. John Dramani Mahama and the NDC to enable us to pursue accountability, which has been missing in our national affair in the last seven to eight years,” Sammy Gyamfi said.
