Asiedu Nketiah campaigns in Bono

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, commenced a seven-day campaign tour of the Bono Region to canvass votes for the party.

Dubbed “Retail Campaign”, Mr Nketiah is expected to have a series of durbar of chiefs and community engagements in all the 12 constituencies of the region.

He started the campaign las Friday at Kwadwomokrom, a farming community in the Dormaa West Constituency, where he interacted with the chiefs and people of the area.

Mr Nketiah is expected to have similar community engagements at Kojokumikrom
and Krakrom in the area.

Additionally, he is expected to interact with the chiefs and people of Yawkrom, Atesikrom, Nsesreso and Asunsu No.1 in the Dormaa Central Constituency.

On the second day of the tour, Mr Nketiah is expected to storm the Wenchi Constituency to campaign in communities such as
Wurompo, Wenchi, Nkosia, Nchiraa and Subinso No.2.

On Sunday, October 20, 2024, he is expected to campaign at Biema  Banda Boase, Banda-Ahenkro, Dorbor and Bui in the Banda Constituency.

On Monday, October 21, 2024, Mr Nketiah is expected to meet the chiefs and people of Atomfourso, Bepoase, Nasana, Hani, Namasa and Badu in Tain Constituency

Mr Nketiah is also expected to campaign in the Sunyani East Constituency on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, where he is expected to interact with the chiefs and people of Abesim, Atronie, traders and drivers at the Sunyani Main Station and engage with artisans and apprentices at the Sunyani Magazine.

On the same day, Mr Nketiah will campaign at Chiraa, Nsoatre, Fiapre and Odumase in the Sunyani West Constituency.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, he will take his campaign team to the Dormaa East Constituency, where he will visit communities such as Kofi Nti, Akontanim, Dormaa Akwamu and a whistle Stop at Asuotiano to campaign for the party.

On the same day, Mr Nketiah will also campaign in communities such as Nsapor, Fetentaa and Amankwakwaa, Kutre No.1, Mpatasie and have a durbar of Imams, Tribal chiefs in the Berekum West Constituency.

Similarly, he is expected to meet the chiefs and people of Berekum Zongo and Biadan in the Berekum East Constituency to canvass for votes.

On Friday, October 25, 2024, he is expected to end his campaign tour in the Jaman North and Jaman South constituencies.

In the Jaman North, Mr Nkatiah is expected to interact with the chiefs and people of Jinini, Adadiem, with whistle stops at Bonakire and Seketia and Suma Ahenkro, where he is expected to inaugurate the party office.

In Jaman South Constituency, will campaign at Miremano, Gonasua, Kwameseikrom and Atuna.

Mini rallies

At Kwadwomokrom, Mr Nketiah explained that the party decided to organise mini rallies.

He explained that the decision was taken to have direct interactions with the people, identified their challenges themselves and allowed the communities to voice out their concerns.

Mr Nketiah advised Ghanaians not to sell their votes to any political party, “if they offer you money, take it and vote against them.”

Mr Nketiah urged them to vote for development and the future of their families.

He said the next NDC government would prioritise the development of the country and paid critical attention to the most deprived areas.
