Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has advised the party followers to guard against complacency and intensify the political campaigns to ensure a landslide victory in the Election 2024.

“We must ensure a formidable front and work hard to secure the election victory in the wake of the opinions polls which favour the NDC in the December 7, polls”, Mr Nketiah stated when he addressed party supporters at a rally held at Susuanso in the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region.

Accompanied by other national executives of the NDC, Mr Nketiah has begun a political campaign tour in the Ahafo Region.

He advised the supporters and members of the party to bury their differences, forge ahead in unity and propagate the party Election 2024 manifesto, and asked them to be guarded in their utterances.

Mr Nketiah entreated them to use persuasive and decent language to make the party more attractive and woo floating voters to join and vote for the NDC in the General Election.

Mr Pius Opoku, the Election 2024 NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Tano North Constituency said he was confident that the party would win the parliamentary seat.

If given the nod as an MP, he said he would provide employable skills training for the youth in the area and create jobs for them.

“I will also facilitate the training of 100 engineers and 100 medical doctors”, Mr Opoku stated, and appealed for the votes of the electorate in the area.

The visit also took Mr Nketiah and his entourage to Techire where they interacted with Dr Nana Okoh Agyemang Boakye II, Chief of Terchire.

Dr Boakye II appealed for the upgrade of the Techire clinic to a polytechnic status to improve healthcare delivery in the area and appealed to the NDC to consider building a legacy project for the chiefs and people of the Ahafo region, if the party regains political power.

That would serve as a memorial for the chiefs and people of the region, he added and advised the party to remain decorous in the electioneering too.
