Spokesperson for former President John Dramani Mahama’s 2024 campaign, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, has maintained that efforts by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to discredit the Mahama24HourEconomy will continue to fail.
The private legal practitioner says the ‘no message’ campaign by the NPP has been to advise it’s followers to discredit the policy and downplay its impact, although it is a game changer.
Madam Mogtari asserts that the 24-hour economy resonates strongly with the unemployed or underemployed, parents with children who are still unemployed, offering the promise of sustainable and well-paid employment.
She noted that the policy, if implemented, will be directly linked to the industrialisation process his government will introduce and implement.
The vision of the former president for the implementation of the policy, she said, would be hinged on agriculture, manufacturing, exports, and other industries.
“The Mahama vision for Ghana will be driven mainly by an industrial economy that operates 24/7. It will be powered by agriculture, manufacturing, exports, and other industries that will benefit from the government’s business development policies and economic expansion to generate more growth and create jobs.
In his four years as president, Mahama built some of the most impressive social and economic infrastructure. He will embark on an unprecedented industrial restructuring that will employ more people than a manufacturing and production facility currently needs.
With an enviable scorecard as the ‘nation-builder’, his return to power will bring the most significant industrialisation drive, ushering sustainable growth and employment for the youth in three 8-hour shifts within 24 hours.”

My dear brothers and sisters, the NPP’s efforts to discredit the #Mahama24HourEconomy will continue to fail. Their ‘no message’ campaign has been advised to downplay the policy’s impact, but it’s clear it is a game changer.
The 24-hour economy resonates strongly with the unemployed or underemployed, parents with children who are still unemployed, offering the promise of sustainable and well-paid employment.
Let’s not misunderstand the 24-hour economy simply as one that never sleeps. It’s a vision that promises a vibrant and active economy that works for people around the clock.
As John Mahama has stated, the policy will be directly linked to the industrialisation process his government will introduce and implement.
The Mahama vision for Ghana will be driven mainly by an industrial economy that operates 24/7.

Vote for John Mahama for Sustainable Jobs and Employment Opportunities.
