Presiential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has appealed to Ghanaians to vote for change in the upcoming general election.
He made the appeal through a statement he issued on Wednesday, July 10 2024.
The former President said the time for change has come and urged citizens to “end the suffering of the nation.”
“I urge you, my fellow Ghanaians, to vote John Dramani Mahama and the NDC for CHANGE to signal the need for us, all, to build the Ghana we want together.
“Building Ghana together means voting MAHAMA—your experienced, visionary, truthful and humble servant—as the next President of Ghana,” he added.
He noted that a vote for the NDC administration would help reset Ghana and fix the broken economy.
“NDC government would create decent and well-paying jobs for the youth through the 24-hour economy initiative and establish a National Women’s Bank to provide financial assistance to one million women-owned businesses.”
Meanwhile, he has reiterated his pledge to investigate and punish corrupt officials from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He also promised to scrap the COVID and E-levies, abolish ex-gratia, and reduce the size of government to a maximum of 60 ministers.
