Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the spokesperson for NDC flagbearer John Mahama’s 2024 campaign has criticized the Akufo-Addo government.

She says the incumbent NPP government has failed to deliver on its promises to Ghanaians.

In a post on X on Wednesday, June 20, Joyce Bawa Mogtari stressed that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration has broken virtually every campaign pledge it made in the run up to the 2016 and 2020 elections.

“You promised to protect the public purse, promised to deliver on a better economy, promised to fight corruption, promised never to go back to the IMF and promised Ghana Beyond Aid, lest we forget, you even promised to put your presidency on the line in your fight against galamsey and failed miserably and woefully even to fix the basic things such as sanitation,” Joyce Bawa said.

She further alleged that in addition to failing Ghanaians, the current government is selling off the country’s valuable assets.

“To add insult to injury, you are dissipating all the assets of the state, land, properties, shares and whatever assets that you and your family and friends can lay your hands upon and literally selling our future to yourselves,” the NDC spokesperson asserted.

The former Deputy Transport Minister further expressed disbelief at the actions of the Akufo-Addo administration.

“This corrupt Akufo Addo/Bawumia administration never ceases to amaze me. Ghana deserves better!” she stated.

You promised to protect the public purse, promised to deliver on a better economy, promised to fight corruption, promised never to go back to the IMF and promised Ghana Beyond Aid, lest we forget, you even promised to put your presidency on the line in your fight against galamsey…
