Some residents of Kintampo in the Bono East region say the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has failed to fulfill many of the promises made to them prior to the 2016 and 2020 elections.

According to the views we sampled, daily life there is deteriorating, with many struggling to feed their families.

These residents in the Kintampo North constituency cited the high cost of living, unemployment, destruction of farms, and the high cost of farming as reasons for their frustration.

“The cost of living keeps rising, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to make ends meet. We were promised better opportunities, but things have only gotten worse.”

These residents in the Kintampo North constituency cited the high cost of living, unemployment, destruction of farms, and the high cost of farming as reasons for their frustration.

“Farming is our main source of livelihood, but with the high cost of inputs and the destruction of our crops, many of us are being forced out of business,” another resident stated.

They say these issues will influence their choice in the December polls.

“We believed in the promises made to us, but after eight years, we see no change. This time, we’re looking at the NDC and John Mahama for a fresh start,” a farmer shared.

These Kintampo North constituents spoke to Adom news team on the first day of a four-day tour of the Bono East region by the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama.

Many of them seem to have lost hope in political promises but have decided to give another chance to the NDC and John Mahama.

They are listing several promises made by the ruling regime that are yet to be fulfilled.

Residents in this constituency are predominantly farmers, and according to them, challenges facing their work have pushed many out of business.
