Prof Mrs. Jane Opoku-Agyeman, Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Election 2024, has encouraged Ghanaians to vote for NDC for accelerated national development.

“Development is our goal,” she said, and added that serving the people was contest of Development ideas and policies not “ranting” on radio and television stations.

She called on Ghanaians to vote for a candidate with full respect for the Ghanaian and ready to change the current socio-economic challenges in the country.

Mrs. Opoku-Agyeman said this at a durbar of Chiefs and market Queen mothers within the Apremdo community to share the NDC vision and their quest to lead the country and thus solicit their votes in the December polls.

The NDC running mate assured the gathering that a vote for NDC was a vote for development, adding “this is our theme song, and this explains my love for the NDC party.”

She advised against monetizing their votes and voting skirt and top in the upcoming general elections.

Touching on women empowerment and development, she pledged her party’s commitment to the market renovation projects and the Women’s Bank to give micro assistance to the Ghanaian woman to trade and become economically empowered to support the home and society at large.

She used the occasion to introduce the Parliamentary Candidate for Kwesimintsim, Mr. Fiifi Buckman and urged the Constituency to vote massively for him to actualize his development aspirations for the area.

Nana Eshe gya Kwamina XI, Chief of Apremdo, was grateful for the visit and asked the Running mate to fix the deteriorated Apremdo market to boost businesses in the area.

He alluded to many development projects done in the era of the NDC including schools, market and CHPS compound and prayed that the good Lord would help them to achieve their vision to lead the country come December 7 polls.

Nana Toku, the Western Regional Chairman of the NDC, entreated the people to reflect on positive change and vote in line with ideals of peace, development and accelerated socio-economic change.

She called on the party leadership to demonstrate love and togetherness as they worked well for the party to win the polls.

Mr. Fiifi Buckman, the Kwesimintsim parliamentary candidate, promised that he would not be a Parliamentarian, who only reports back on his inability to pull through in terms of social interventions but rather would buy into the many self-initiatives to advance the Constituency.

“I want to make impact within my first four years…in six months, I will come back and consult so we develop the “K” agenda to drive growth,” the aspiring member of Parliament told the crowd.
