Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, the Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle Constituency, has admonished Ghanaians not to engage in ‘skirt and blouse’ in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
She has emphasised the importance of Ghanaian voters voting massively for former President John Dramani Mahama and the parliamentary candidates of the NDC.
The lawmaker and medical professional indicated that it would be difficult for Mr. Mahama to govern as President with a minority in Parliament.
Speaking at a rally in Nungua, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings said the 2024 elections were about the future of this country, and Ghanaians ought to vote for the NDC.
In her remarks, she said we have less than four months until the election, and when you are voting, you have to vote for former President John Dramani and vote for the NDC parliamentary candidate where you are. No skirt and blouse, because if you do skirt and blouse and Mahama becomes president, he cannot rule because he will not have a majority in Parliament.
She advised the crowd to watch out for those who are going round campaigning and asking them to vote for Mr. Mahama and a parliamentary candidate of another party.
According to her “If you have NDC in your heart, you must make sure you vote for Mahama and vote for the NDC parliamentry candidate.
She emphasised that in order to reverse all of Ghana’s negative trends, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) must be defeated.
‘This year’s election is about the future of the youth, she declared, underscoring the need for voters to vote for the NDC if they want jobs, an improved economy, better opportunities, and better leadership devoid of corruption’, she added.
