Actor John Dumelo has questioned the work of the Water and Sanitation Minister, Lydia Alhassan.
He argues that Accra, Kumasi, and other cities in Ghana are dirty, but the minister sits unconcerned.
The actor-parliamentary candidate has called out the Minister to sit up in dispensing her duty.
He expressed worry that as the country grapples with a shortage of water, among others as a result of illegal mining that is polluting water bodies, the minister sits aloof, doing nothing to address the issue.
“I have questions for the minister of sanitation and water resources. Why is Accra still dirty? Why is kumasi and Takoradi still dirty? Why hasn’t the minister even visited water bodies polluted by galamsey activities to show concern and even pretend to care?”
