A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe says dishonesty from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has led to Ghana’s current state.

He claimed that President Akufo-Addo and his government had failed millions of Ghanaians who trusted in their capabilities.

“That is why I keep saying that if a leader is not honest with his people, he falls into these sorts of traps. This government has not been honest with its people right from the get-go,” he said.

Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe addressed the current hardship in Ghana and the recent power outages ‘Dumsor’ in an interview with Joy News monitored by Peacefmonline.com.

He blamed the power outages on the government’s negligence and said the situation could have been averted if the president was an honest person

“He’s not been honest with the people of this country from day one, even right from the day he was being sworn in.” He noted.

Adding, “Of course, yes, that should have alarmed us. Even though I warned Ghanaians before that they shouldn’t vote him in, that should have alarmed Ghanaians.”
