The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), in collaboration with the Electoral Commission (EC), has opened the accreditation process for media houses interested in covering this year’s Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

In a statement signed by GJA President, Albert Dwumfour, the Association announced that media outlets in the Greater Accra region and foreign media interested in covering the December 7 elections should submit the names and passport-sized photos of their journalists and media personnel to the GJA at the Ghana International Press Centre in Accra.

Media houses in other regions are required to send their applications to the GJA Regional Executives, who will forward them to the GJA Headquarters in Accra for further processing.

Interested media houses are to use the following template:

Details of the reporters and crew should be submitted in soft copy and hard copy and must be in Times New Roman format and a font size of 12.

The passport picture must be standard size. No ‘selfies’ will be accepted.

The deadline for the submission of the documents is 5 pm, Tuesday, October 31, 2024.

Media houses in the regions should reach out to the underlisted GJA Regional Chairpersons to submit their documentation for the accreditation:

The Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr Charles Benoni Okine (Contact: 0242615378) with support from Mr. Fiifi Nettey (Contact:0244711558)will coordinate the accreditation in Accra.

The National Organizing Secretary, Mr Dominic Hlordzi (Contact: 0598825581\ 0208366615) will oversee the whole process as the National Coordinator.
