The President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, is surprised at how fast the Supreme Court sat on the case regarding the Speaker’s declaration of four seats vacant.
The Supreme Court (SC) of Ghana on Friday issued a stay of execution on Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin’s ruling, which declared the seats of four Members of Parliament (MPs) vacant. The SC ruling came a day after the Speaker’s action.
In a post on X, Franklin Cudjoe wondered why the same urgency is not given to other cases like that of SALL.
The speed with which the SC came to the rescue of the 4 'disenfranchised constìtuents' but took part in frustrating our efforts to get justice for SALL tells a lot, & makes a gangster system enviable. God dey!
