The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has launched an online re-exhibition of the Provisional Voters Register (PVR) ahead of the upcoming general election.
A press release issued by the EC today urged Registered voters to verify their details online between Tuesday, October 15, and Saturday, October 19, 2024.
This initiative allows voters to ensure their information is accurate and report any discrepancies before the deadline.
To check your voter registration details, the Electoral Commission has provided two convenient options:
1. Via Short Code:
Voters can dial *711*51# on their mobile phones, free of charge, to access their voter details.
2. Via the EC Website:
Visit https://ec.gov.gh and click on the pop-up link at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Enter your 10-digit Voter ID number to view your registration details.
If any discrepancies are identified, voters must report them to their local District Electoral Commission Office for correction before the October 19 deadline. After this date, while voters will still be able to view their details online, corrections will no longer be possible.
Political parties have been provided with a template to submit any discrepancies identified during the re-exhibition period.
This exercise is crucial to ensuring the accuracy of voter information ahead of the 2024 elections.
