The chairperson of the Jane’s Army of Women, Lois Quarteng-Mensah has vowed to work hard with his team to deliver 80% of women’s votes in the Central Region to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December elections.

Lois made this pledge in Cape Coat during a float to educate women in the region on the importance and advantages of supporting a fellow woman, Prof Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang, to become Ghana’s first female vice president.

The Jane’s Army of Women, according to the leadership is apolitical and will be working with volunteer groups and individuals across the country to mobilise support for the 2024 presidential running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Addressing thousands of members drawn from the region’s 23 Constituencies in Cape Coast, the leadership emphasized that the proposed women’s development bank will empower female entrepreneurs and support small business owners by providing them with low-interest loans, financial education, and sustainable support.

The group urged women in the Central region to massively support their daughter, Naana Opoku Agyeman by voting massively for the NDC in the December polls.

Some of the supporters expressed optimism about the Jane and John ticket, saying the duo have what it takes to move the country in the right direction.

Jane’s Army of Women is in Cape Coast to canvas support for Prof Naana Opoku Agyeman.
