Former President John Mahama joined the Ahlussuna Wal-Jamah Muslim Group for their Eid prayers at the forecourt of the State House.

The gathering saw a significant turnout as members of the Muslim community came together to celebrate Eid Mubarak.

During the event, Mahama made a notable contribution of GHC20,000.00 and a sheep to the group.

Extending his wishes for a happy Eid Mubarak and Father’s Day, he emphasized the importance of unity and support within the community.

“Happy Eid Mubarak and Father’s Day to all. It is an honor to be here with you today and to contribute to our community with a donation of GHC20,000.00 and a sheep. Your support and unity are invaluable,” Mahama stated.

In his address, Mahama highlighted the significance of inclusion and revealed that the Muslim manifesto, presented by a group led by the national chief imam, would be integrated into the broader people’s manifesto. He assured that this initiative would ensure greater Muslim participation during his prospective presidency.

The National Chief Imam expressed his gratitude, saying, “We appreciate the former president’s commitment to our community. His promise to incorporate our manifesto reflects his dedication to diversity and inclusivity in governance.”

The event underscored the mutual respect and cooperation between the leadership and the Muslim community, reinforcing Mahama’s vision for a more inclusive Ghana.
