Spokesperson of former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari has dismissed reports that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress has been to Russia to seek assistance from the Russian government for the December Polls.

The denial comes on the back of publications by some media outlets that Mr Mahama, under the guise of launching a Russian version of his autobiography entitled ‘My First Coup D’etat’ sought the support of the Russian government in the upcoming December 7 elections.

Bawah Mogtari in a statement on Friday, July 12, 2024, described the report as a ‘shadowy and unethical journalism practice’ to defame the flagbearer.

Below the statement by Mahama’s Campaign Team
