The National Democratic Congress Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, as a special guest at the Nigerian Bar Association’s 64th Annual General Conference.
Mahama’s trip to Nigeria comes less than 24 hours after the NDC launched its 2024 Manifesto for the December 7 general elections.
The former president is expected to deliver a keynote address at the conference on Monday, August 26.
In a statement, Mahama Campaign Spokesperson, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, stated that the “64th annual general conference theme, ‘Pressing Forward – A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria,’ resonates deeply with Mahama’s advocacy for democratic governance, the rule of law, and collaborative efforts toward national development.”
The statement noted that Mahama “looks forward to discussing innovative approaches to addressing Nigeria’s pressing issues with its legal practitioners” while also emphasizing the “importance of accountability and leadership in governance.”
