The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has confidently stated that the party’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama will be sworn in as the next President of Ghana on January 7, 2025.

General Mosquito as he is popularly known said the NDC is poised to return to office with a solid majority in Parliament.

Mr Nketia was speaking at the NDC’s final rally held at Zurak Park in Madina of the Greater Accra Region.

“We are not going to fall for the tricks of ‘skirt and blouse’ voting. The NDC will return to office with a strong majority in Parliament,” he declared.

General Mosquito further assured party supporters that they would soon gather again for an even larger celebration of their victory.

“We will meet again at a bigger event than this to celebrate our victory,” he said.

The NDC National Chairman also highlighted the importance of the NDC’s ‘Resetting Agenda’ which aims to ensure the proper functioning of national institutions.

“The resetting agenda is very important and will make our institutions function effectively,” General Mosquito added.
