The campaign team for John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate, has announced a series of impactful events for this week as he gears up for the 2024 elections.
The team says these activities underscore Mahama’s commitment to inclusivity, community engagement, and faith.
Kicking off the week, the NDC Women’s Manifesto will be launched in Kumasi on Monday, September 30, 2024.
The event, taking place at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the Ashanti Region, will be spearheaded by Mr Mahama and his Vice-Presidential Candidate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
The manifesto aims to empower women and promote gender inclusivity in governance, reflecting Mahama’s long-standing commitment to increasing women’s participation in leadership roles.
Following the manifesto launch, Mr Mahama will engage with Christian leaders in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, as part of his #MahamaConversations series.
This dialogue will focus on the values that unite Ghanaians and the significance of faith in national development.
During this session, Mr Mahama is expected to reaffirm his pledge to establish a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, promoting interfaith collaboration and spiritual reflection for the nation’s progress.
To wrap up the week, Mahama will embark on a four-day campaign tour of the North East and Savanna Regions starting Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
This tour is aimed at facilitating direct engagement with Ghanaians, particularly in rural areas, to address pressing economic challenges and rising prices.
