Chairperson of the Gender, Children, and Social Protection Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Nana Oye Bampoe Addo has urged Ghanaians to vote for change in the December polls to help bring Ghana back on track.
She said there is a need to reset Ghana following the mess the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has put Ghana through and that it is the NDC that can address it.
Nana Oye Bampoe Addo said this in an interview at the Gbewaa palace after a courtesy call on the overlord of Dagbon.
The Gender, Children, and Social Protection committee was at the Gbewaa Palace to seek the blessing of the King of Dagbon to kick-start their campaign in the Northern Region.
Nana Oye said the John Mahama-Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang ticket is coming back with an agenda to develop the country and to establish women.
“The former President is coming back with the Women Development Bank and the 24-hour economy policy for women to be empowered and provide more jobs for the youth,” she said
Nana Oye said John Mahama is a nation builder who is set to bring development if the NDC wins the December polls.
She added that the women’s bank would provide women with the necessary resources to expand their business which will trigger down to their family and the country at large.
She added that a John Mahama government would ensure access to quality healthcare and support tertiary education among other developments. “John Mahama, the nation builder would ensure access to quality healthcare, free tertiary education and free apprenticeship programmes” she emphasized
She appealed to Ghanaians not to stay home on election day but to move out in their numbers to vote for the NDC.
The committee presented an abridged version of the National Democratic Congress manifesto to the King.
