Member of Parliament for Builsa South Dr. Clement Apaak has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will not be complacent despite the latest prediction of victory for former President John Dramani Mahama by Global InfoAnalytics.

He said the party will work extremely hard to ensure that the candidate wins the 2024 December 7 elections.

The research firm’s latest polls revealed that the former President is leading Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in 12 out of the 16 regions of the country.

The polls to be published on October 1, 2024, predicted four regional wins for the Vice President.

Reacting to this, Dr. Apaak advised the party to remain focused and not be complacent.

He admonished the party to ensure that it’s called for a forensic audit of the register to be achieved.

The upcoming elections he posited would be meaningless without the forensic audit of the register.

He said this in a post on X, formerly Twitter. The post read, “No complacency. We must keep working hard, including ensuring that we have a forensically audited register fit for purpose. We must not relent in calling on the EC to do the right thing by allowing a forensic audit of the register. These polls will be meaningless in the face of a bloated register.”
