The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it has demanded an emergency IPAC meeting to address the missing voter registration kits and other matters.
Director of elections for the party, Dr. Omane Boamah, said theumbrella family sees the missing voter registration kits, which were in the custody of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, as a significant threat.
He argued that the issue involves serious election-related matters, including cyber threats to free, fair, and transparent elections.
“As a result, we have formally demanded that an IPAC meeting be convened to thoroughly discuss the terrible and avoidable occurrence that poses a major threat to the sanctity of the 2024 elections.
Already, per the EC’s own calendar of activities attached, an IPAC meeting must have been scheduled on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Relatedly, the NDC will also seek answers to the state of the UN-RETRIEVED Biometric Verification Devices (BVDs), which were distributed across the country during the December 2023 District Level (Assembly) Elections,” he said.
He further assured the EC of the NDC’s utmost cooperation as it pursues its evidence-based strategies and plans ahead of the December 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The NDC deems the missing voter registration kits, which were in the custody of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana as a significant threat including CYBER THREAT to Free, Fair and Transparent elections.
As a result, we have formally demanded that an IPAC meeting be convened to thoroughly discuss the terrible and avoidable occurrence that poses a major threat to the sanctity of the 2024 elections.
Already, per the EC’s own calendar of activities attached, an IPAC meeting must have been scheduled on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

We assure the Electoral Commission of our utmost cooperation as we pursue our evidence-based strategies and plans ahead of the December 07 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
Ghanaians must further be assured that our EAGLE EYES are wide open, and we shall ensure every legitimate vote is cast and counted.
We must rescue Ghana from the non-performing and incompetent Akufo-Addo Bawumia NPP government.
