The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Fiavi Fifi Kwetey, embarked on a tour of limited voter registration centers in the Volta Region on the final day of the exercise.

He was accompanied by the Volta Regional Secretary, James Gunu, the Regional Vice Chairman, Mr. Egypt Kudoto, and other regional executives of the NDC.

The tour aimed to mobilize eligible voters, gather information on the registration process, and assess the region’s preparedness for the 2024 elections. The team, led by the former Ketu South lawmaker, met with Constituency Executive Committee members, parliamentary candidates, election directors, and registration officials to ensure a smooth and peaceful process.

Hon. Fiavi, who supported the exercise across the region with undisclosed funds, interacted with eligible voters at the Akatsi South office of the Electoral Commission. He encouraged party supporters to register more voters and emphasized the importance of voting. James Gunu praised the constituencies’ efforts in mobilizing voters, while Fiavi commended the region’s dedication and reiterated the party’s commitment to free, fair, and transparent elections. He assured that the party is prepared to challenge the NPP in the December 7, 2024 polls.

He also urged the Electoral Commission to ensure the integrity of the entire process until H.E John Dramani Mahama is declared the winner of the December 7 elections.

His entourage included Mr. Egypt Kudoto, Regional Vice Chairman; Hon. James Gunu, Regional Secretary; Mr. Bright Ege, Deputy Regional Secretary; Hon. Francis Seglah, Regional Director of Elections & IT; Hon. Johnson Samlafo, Deputy Regional Youth Organizer; and others.

This tour demonstrates the NDC’s commitment to reclaiming power from the ruling New Patriotic Party government, as the General Secretary received a warm welcome.
