The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has stated that the NDC has huge responsibility of rescuing the country from the mess of the current administration.
She has, therefore, called for unity and working exceedingly hard to win the election on December 7 this year. That, she said, required that Ghanaians would vote massively for the party and its parliamentary candidates for a resounding victory and majority in Parliament to enable the flag bearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, to conduct successful government business.
“When you are voting, you vote for Mahama and you vote for the NDC candidates where you are. No more skirt and blouse. If you do skirt and blouse and John Mahama becomes president, he cannot rule because he will not have majority in parliament,” Dr Agyeman-Rawlings stated.
She made the call at a mini-rally held at the Nungua Town Park last Saturday after the “Get Fit and Ready Mahama Walk”.
Preparation
Dr Agyeman-Rawlings called on the NDC sympathisers at the rally to be prepared to take on the great cause of campaigning vigorously for the party’s presidential candidate and their PCs.
She noted that with just a few months to the elections, all the party faithful must get involved in mobilising the electorate for the December elections.
“This year, we are going for an election. We have less than four months. Everybody here must bring 10 people. We must work hard and mobilise to win this election,” she noted.
“As you are doing your house-to-house campaign, don’t say it’s an NPP house, so you won’t go in there. Go to every house, every ghetto, every school and every university. Make sure you speak to everyone,” he said.
Hope for the youth
Dr Agyeman-Rawlings noted that the election was about the future of the youth, and therefore required that every Ghanaian would vote for an experienced hand in Former President John Mahama that can turn the fortunes of the country around.
“This election is about the future of the youth. If you want the environment to favour your jobs, you want to make sure you are not sitting at home, you want the crime rate to go down, you want Ghana’s economy to improve, then the NDC is the only choice,” the lawmaker said.
