In a statement, the Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress, Dr Edward Omane Boamah has questioned whether history would repeat itself in Parliament, referencing current MPs Kwabena Mintah Akandoh of the NDC and Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Minister of Communications over who sits on the Majority side of the House.
Mr Omane Boamah’s comment hinted at the political tensions and challenges in Parliament, over the Supreme Court ruling to stay the declaration of the seat of four Members of Parliament vacant for switching allegiance.
Aside from this, Dr Omane Boamah is calling on Ghanaians to vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need for change to address critical national issues.
He explained that former President Mahama, who is campaigning to return to the presidency has made bold promises to fix institutional decay, recover stolen funds, and create well-paying jobs through his proposed 24-hour economy initiative.
“Fellow Ghanaians,” he began, “vote for John Dramani Mahama for well-paying jobs through the 24-hour economy initiative.
for John Mahama to fix institutional decay in our country.
Vote for John Mahama to recover all looted funds through Operation Recover All Loot (O.R.A.L).”
He assured Ghanaians that their votes would be safeguarded through the NDC’s EAGLEEYES Project, a system designed to protect the integrity of the electoral process.
“Let me assure you one more time, we shall protect your votes, and we are protecting it via the EAGLEEYES Project,” Mahama stated.
