The vice-presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has pledged that a future Mahama-led administration will complete all abandoned Community Day Senior High Schools (E-Blocks) across the country.
Speaking to NDC supporters at Aboso in the Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency of the Western Region, where one of the schools currently stands abandoned, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang voiced her disappointment over the government’s neglect of the project.
She said as Education for Minister under the Mahama administration, she championed the Community Day Senior High School project to bring education closer to the people, especially those in deprived communities.
“It is therefore very worrying that the NPP government has abandoned some of the school projects, denying students from those communities the opportunity to use”, she said.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang said elections have consequences and it is imperative that Ghanaians elect Mr John Dramani Mahama as the next leader because he has the country at heart.
She therefore urged the electorates to vote massively for Mr Mahama and the NDC parliamentary candidate for Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency, Hon. Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, in the upcoming December 7 general elections to bring development to the area.
