In a major boost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign in the Eastern Region, the National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo, and the Chairman of the National Youth Working Committee, Okai Mintah, have made a substantial donation to aid campaign activities in the Eastern Region, their home region.

During a high-profile NDC Eastern Region Stakeholder meeting at Peduase, attended by Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the two leaders donated 4,000 posters to each of the 33 constituencies in the region, alongside a cash sum of GHS 175,000. This donation is part of ongoing efforts to mobilize grassroots support as the NDC prepares for the upcoming elections.

Speaking at the event, Pablo emphasized the importance of resourcing the Eastern Region, traditionally a challenging stronghold for the NDC, and highlighted the youth wing’s commitment to the party’s success. “This is just the beginning,” he said. “We will continue to mobilize resources and intensify our efforts to ensure the NDC makes significant gains in the Eastern Region.”

Okai Mintah echoed these sentiments, pledging further support. “Our region deserves every effort we can muster to bring the NDC closer to victory, and we will stop at nothing to secure that,” he stated.

Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate for HE John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 general elections, expressed her appreciation for the timely intervention by the youth leaders, underscoring the importance of unity and collective action within the party. She called on all stakeholders to double their efforts as the campaign enters a crucial phase.

The donation marks a significant show of solidarity from the youth wing, sending a clear signal of the NDC’s commitment to winning over voters in the Eastern Region, a known political battleground.

As the elections draw closer, the NDC continues to rally support across all regions, with the Eastern Region being a critical focus for their strategy.
