Former Ghana’s High Commissioner to India and President of the Professional Forum-Proforum, Sam Pee Yalley has described the OSP clearing of John Mahama in the Airbus ‘scandal’ as a sign of the ruling party’s unjustified persecution of former president, John Dramani Mahama.

The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng in his 24-paged in report of findings from the Airbus SE investigation stated “the OSP found no evidentiary basis that suggests that former President John Dramani Mahama or any other public official was paid bribes by Samuel Adam Foster (also known as Samuel Adam Mahama), Philip Sean Middlemiss, and Leanne Sarah Davis in respect of the purchase by the Government of Ghana military transport aircraft from Airbus.”

Mr Yalley described John Mahama’s vindication as evidence of “NPP’s shameless peddling of falsehood and political witch-hunting against John Dramani Mahama.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NDC Professionals Forum Hails Vindication of H.E. John Dramani Mahama: A Triumph of Truth Over Propaganda

Accra, Ghana – August 8, 2024

The NDC Professionals Forum wholeheartedly congratulates His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, former President of the Republic of Ghana, on his resounding vindication by the Special Prosecutor in the Airbus scandal.

This outcome exposes the NPP government’s shameless peddling of falsehoods and political witch-hunting.

President Mahama’s unwavering commitment to integrity and transparency has been vindicated, while the NPP’s desperation to tarnish his reputation has been laid bare. This victory is a testament to the NDC’s values of accountability, good governance, and dedication to the Ghanaian people.

We condemn the NPP’s relentless pursuit of political vendetta and demand an end to their cynical exploitation of state institutions for partisan gain. The Ghanaian people deserve better.
