The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has voiced strong criticisms of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) campaign team.

Gyamfi pulled no punches as he declared that their time was up and accusing them of presiding over economic mismanagement.

He emphasized that Ghanaians are fed up with the economic hardships and collapse experienced under the NPP’s rule.

“The NPP campaign team, their time is up,” Gyamfi asserted.

“Ghanaians are tired of their economic mismanagement, Ghanaians are tired of economic hardships, Ghanaians are tired of the economic collapse we have seen under them…,”  he said during an interview with Johnnie Hughes on 3FM Sunrise Morning Show on February 21.

With particular disdain, Gyamfi targeted the size and composition of the NPP’s campaign team, deriding it as “obese” and filled with individuals who had previously failed in their assigned tasks. He criticized the NPP leader’s claim of being able to run Ghana with a lean cabinet of 50 ministers while overseeing a campaign team numbering over 100 individuals.

“They have nothing good to offer, a very wasteful, obese team, discredited,” Sammy Gyamfi remarked, suggesting that the team was structured to accommodate a large number of people seeking personal gain rather than advancing the party’s agenda.

Mr Gyamfi concluded by asserting that the NPP’s campaign team lacked confidence in their ability to win, resorting instead to tactics aimed at personal enrichment rather than serving the interests of the Ghanaian people. “they themselves they don’t believe that Bawumia can win” he said.
