An opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team member has labeled some New Patriotic Party members as ‘a bunch of criminals’.

The politician alleged that certain members of the NPP have engaged in criminal behaviour, contradicting their campaign promises to the Ghanaian people.

He asserted that the NPP is behaving in a manner as Ghanaians are without wisdom or discernment.

Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Mr. Eric Sosu, said the NPP, while in opposition, made all the juicy promises but has done the opposite of what they told Ghanaians.

”Some NPP members are educated criminals who use their skills to steal from the state. They have earned these skills and are not using them to assist the country, but rather engaged in unprecedented criminal activity. I refer to some of them as criminals because they have failed to keep their promises to Ghanaians. Whatever they promised us in opposition, they have not followed through. They consider Ghanaians to be foolish and ignorant.”

They promised to deal with cedi depreciation, but today they are telling us the GHC16 to the dollar is far better than what they took over from former President John Dramani Mahama,’’ he added.

He said the NPP also accused the NDC of imposing nuisance taxes on Ghanaians, and so they would scrap all of them. However, they introduced 22 new taxes when they took over office.

He added that ‘’the NPP is a party of lies and liars. They are currently campaigning on lies and deceiving Ghanaians to vote for them, but our citizens have seen through their lies. The NDC is currently campaigning on policies, and the people will base their votes on that to vote massively for us.
