The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association says members are currently on strike following the controversies surprising the SSNIT hotels.
The Public Relations Officer of the Association said emergency services are ongoing at the various public hospitals, but all outpatient department services are on hold.
The move, he said, is a clear message to authorities to stop mismanaging SSNIT and its investments.
He stated that the termination of the decision by SSNIT to sell the hotels lacks clarityHe therefore wants SSNIT to take steps to the communicate the termination appropriately. And
.He lamented that SSNIT failed to consult broadly on the matter before taking that decision.
“If SSNIT fails to communicate the termination of the process through appropriate channels, then we will remain on strike. That is our position; the strike is not only by nurses and midwives. Ghanaians are agitated over the masr.
